What’s so awesome about this blog?…

Do you remember when we all used Myspace?  It wasn’t that long ago…But things change quickly in the new media world and I don’t want you to get left behind.  That’s what New Media Insights is all about.  This blog will explore the roles of new and emerging media in the IMC process and how it impacts our everyday lives.  I’ll be posting weekly topics and diving into the ethics, trends, and evolution of new media.  You’ll want to check back often and join me in discussing how new media is changing and what that means for us as a culture, as consumers, and as individuals. Who’s behind the curtain?…

My name is Melody Daversa and I am a Public Relations and Advertising Manager for Karl Strauss Brewing Company in San Diego, CA.  I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University.  When I’m not planning a new campaign or researching for a paper, I love to travel, bake, and watch Wes Andersen flicks.
